CUA's 2007 excavation and research is funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation. Thanks to the GHF kind help the CUA's expedition has received up-to-date eqipment to conduct its underwater archaeological exploration and research.

EAA Annual Meeting in Zadar – 2007. September, 18-24.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the 13th annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists (EAA) . The Thirteenth Annual Meeting of the E will be held in Zadar, Croatia, from 18th to 23rd September, 2007.

The conference will be held in Croatia, Zadar from 18th  to 13th  September, 2007. The Centre for Underwater Archaeology is organizing the section  on “Trade Trade Routes and Commodities in the Byzantine Empire and its Provinces” All interested are invited to take part in the section. Please send your abstracts, presentation title and brief descriptions to our email maritime@univ.kiev.ua. The deadline for abstracts is April 30th 2007. We hope to see you in Zadar, Croatia.

The web page for the EAA Annual Meeting in Zadar is now in operation at  www.unizd.hr/eaa2007 It offers all the necessary information about the conference and directs you towards your successful participation at the Meeting. Please do not forget that in order to attend the EAA conference you have to be current member of the EAA. You will find the 2007 renewal form to accommodate your membership for this year, as well as other relevant information, at the EAA web page at http://www.e-a-a.org/, where you can also apply on-line.
